oneamongthefence...there are always exceptions to the rule, and this post would be one of those exceptions. So, hello! I'm Lexa (also known as Lex), and I'm happy that you've found me here on DW.
I've been a fan of online journaling since 2003 - first as oneonthefence on LJ, and then, as bsgsix here on DW. However, I've finally settled into the user name and journal I plan to keep up with on a regular basis, which is this account right here.
SO - if you have known me from either of those two previously-mentioned accounts (many former LJ friends came from high school, shared musical interests, and/or a wonderful online writing competition; when I left LJ for DW, I was pleased to keep connections with many former LJ friends while meeting more amazing people here on DW!), or if you remember me from the 2009-2013 era of LJ Idol or the 2018-2021 LJ Idol/DW Survivor writing group, or if you just happened to stumble upon this journal based on some common interests and would like to be friends, please feel free to add/follow/subscribe/whatever the term is now! Drop a comment here to let me know who you are, and I'll make certain to add/follow/subscribe back. I do have to be careful about my privacy due to some - odd past events, but making and retaining friendships is important to me.
For accountability: My memory is very poor, and I'd like to post at least 3-4 times a week so that I can remember the events that occur in my life. And I know that reading and commenting with others can be vital to that experience. But no matter what, this will be my go-to journal (I have things that I would really like to document, even if no one else reads them), and the other DW account will be closed at some point soon (I'm posting this on August 8th, 2023, and plan to close my bsgsix DW account by the end of the year).
I will come back and update this public post with a brief "Lex FAQ" soon. In the meantime, welcome to my new and permanent journaling home, and I'm happy you're here!
